Zweiter Teil der Trilogie "His Dark Materials". Sehr berührend der Anfang - Will versucht seine psychisch kranke Mutter zu schützen.Spannend - die Hauptpersonen kommen in eine unheimliche Welt mit Kindern, Gespenstern und Engeln.

I wonder if I like it this time, because a few year ago I read it in German with mixed feelings!

Edit 2.6.06:
I have so many books on my shelf and am quite sure that I will not read thois one- mainly because I didn´t much like the first part if the story. So I set it available and will see, where it want´s to travel next.

I love this book! I can't wait to read the third book to see what happens! I think Pullman manages to create a (or in fact several!) world of his own with strong characters - I like that!

Thank you for sending me the book!

Arrived a while ago, but I've been away for some time, so I haven't been able to register it before now. Thank you very much for sending it to me, Panzeranzi! I've heard many good things about this series, so I'm looking forward to reading it.

I thought this book was even better than the first one. Each of the characters are strong and interesting, and I'm left wanting to know more about them and what happens to them. I particularly like Will (better than Lyra), Serafina Pekkala and Lee Scoresby. I was also glad to see less of Mrs. Coulter, because her dæmon makes me cringe. Can't wait to read the next book now!
