3 journalers for this copy...
Bought at the Lifeline bookfest this thinking I hadn't read it, but I actually have. It's an excellent classic sci-fi tale (and TV series too I think). About three legged plants gone wild.
Wow! I wasn't expecting to have this so soon! Thanks for granting my holiday wish.
I'll post a photo of my kitten enjoying its new toys once I actually have it in the house :) (I'm waiting on a couple of things to happen before I let toholio go kitty-shopping).
Speaking of toholio, he's pretty keen to read this and I've got a bit of a back-log of books that need to move on, so he'll probably read the book first.
Thanks again!

theadi made me journal this book!
Seriously though, I kept thinking of the song "Science Fiction Double Feature" while reading this book... And I really got hot when I saw Janet Scott fight a triffid that spits poison and kills.

Yes, mean cranky theadi forced poor little toholio to journal the book. I'm sure he'll get over it ;)
Journalling to say that this is just the right size to put in my handbag to read at work.

Finished during my break at work on Saturday night. Really enjoyed this one - thanks for passing it on, RockDg9! I wasn't completely satisfied with the ending, but I think I'd have been far more disappointed if it had ended any of the other ways I can think of.
Offered it to a co-worker who had nothing to read on his break as he'd seemed interested in it when he'd seen me reading it previously, but he was happy to read the "Woolworths Instore News" instead. Go figure.
Despite not wanting to read it, he was keen to talk to me about it while I was trying to read Wicked, which became quite annoying!
"Are the triffids the plants?"
Yes.
"The ones that kill people?"
Yes.
"So, are they real or what?"
sigh...
