Modern Classics of Science Fiction
2 journalers for this copy...
An interesting anthology of science fiction stories. You have some big names here (Gibson, LeGuinn) but there are other ones that are missing . No Clarke or Dick, etc. The editor defends his choice and presents a series of not usually serialized stories and that is good. The book is a nice edition but I am still searching for the one great science fiction anthology. If anyone can help that would be great but until then...good luck fair book! Peace!

Ha HA! I've been wanting to catch one of Gaeasoldier's books. I've tried a couple of times, but have always been too late. As luck would have it, I was leaving for Madeline's Restaurant tonight to celebrate my wedding anniversary when I received Gaeasoldier's release alert. As a kind of talisman, I prepared a book of mine (Burroughs' Running with Scissors) to release in the same place. It worked. My husband and I were amazed to find this book atop the Ithaca Journal box, and my husband was especially delighted, since he is a serious science fiction buff. I am personally looking forward to reading the LeGuin story--she's an old favourite of mine.
It gets better. While we ate a delicious dinner at a window table in Madeline's, we saw a group of friends find the book that I released, scrutinize it, and then leave with it.
Although I've been bookcrossing for a while, this is my first wild catch. Thanks Gaeasoldier!
