I had to read this book for a class that I took in college called "Social and Philisophical Issues in Education." We read it as an antedote to "Summerhill School." It's an interesting look at how the American school systems are leaving our kids unprepared for their lives due to "Outcome Based Education" and portfolio work, instead of getting just plain A, B, C, D, or *gasp* F.
