A very useful guide to Country Pubs in the UK. Includes around 900 pubs, chosen for their good food and drink, value for money and atmosphere. Gives all the information you need about opening times, good directions/location information, times when food is served etc. Also tells you what the wine list is like and what beers are on offer.

This book lives in our car and travels with us. Earns a place in my permanent collection.

This book is now rather out of date and sadly it has not been reprinted - presumably the internet has made it unnecessary. We have used this book a lot and visited quite a few pubs listed in it: my annotations bear witness to that fact. My husband has decreed it is time for it to go - mainly I think he is concerned that when we get to one of the pubs listed it will have closed or changed ownership and might not be so nice (which is a fair point!). I will wild release this but am marking it as available in the interim.
