The book was wonderful as a light read to off-throw longer, slower books. Had I been reading other fluff at the same time, I wouldn't have called it good. As I understand it, this is part of a series (of which I've read none before and that didn't inhibit my understanding of what was going on) which probably explains all the love interests the main character had swishing around in the background, who didn't actually have much of anything to do with the plot.

You know, I always sort of thought of myself as a cat person, but compared to the characters in the book, I'm an animal-hater. Would any real person assume that their cat was trying to solve a murder? Or would everyone do the normal sounding thing and put the cat outside so it will stop vocalizing. Although maybe murder solving cats aren't that silly compared with the main character bringing cats on a road trip - that just did not sound smart. Really, just leave them with either a friend or a pet servise.

I gave the book back to misplaced, who picked it out and gave it to me in the first place.

It wasn't great. As it turns out, crime solving cats aren't for me but it had it's moments.
