Well, I never got around to reading this one, but found a copy at the library book sale today, so I'm making this one AVL so it can continue its journey. If it doesn't go with my current "help! clear my shelves!" forum post, then I'll see about wild releasing later.

Although I enjoyed the movie, I think it would've been even better if they'd stuck more closely to the actual novel. True, the novel has a more complicated plot, but it's also more interesting. I mean, how could they have left out the Portuguese con artist and Bridget's mom going to jail?! It's also funnier and you can actually read it without necessary picturing Renee Zelwigger. Definitely worth reading, even for die-hard fans of the moive.
