I love Crichton!
This book is about eco-terrorist. 'Nuff said.
What I love about Crichton is his ability to make exposition seem interesting (at least I think so). This one seems more full of theory than usual as his main characters dispute commonly "accepted" beliefs about the state of the environmenet. I found not only these discussions interesting, but I never felt like I just wanted to get on with the rest of the story. It felt integral.
I also love that I feel smarter having read Crichton. Certainly, as a novelist he can be selective of the information he submits, and who really knows how much is fiction without researching, but with a 20-page bibliography at the end, you have that opportunity.
Regardless of the accuracy, he certainly made me reconsider much of what I believe. Not typical from a thriller.
