A little light reading(!)...
I thoroughly enjoyed this account of the rise and fall of Henry VIII's wives. Although it covers fairly heavy material, it isn't at all the dry style of the textbook historian. It is very accessible and witty and targetted at a modern audience.
I definitely recommend this book.
