Since there is no info about this book, all I can say is that it looks absolutely brilliant!

I had actually expected much more from this book than what it delivered. There wer quite a few sad parts, but I am still trying to figure out if this is truly Dave Eggers memoirs. And if they are, it leaves me to wonder why someone did not intervene in this family more often.
I found myself skimming through paragraphs just to reach the end and then wondering what became of the family members.

Reserved for dospecados :)

Looks interesting. From the forums, it seems like this is one of those books that some love and some hate, little in between. We'll see where I stand. =)

Thanks!

Finished reading last night. I'm still not too sure what I think. I had no expectations of this book when I started, was surprised to find it a memoir and not fiction. I was impressed with the start, but thought the author got lost in his own ramblings halfway through, went on too long, never fully capitalized on the promise of the book. Still, a powerful and affecting work... I'm so glad I took a chance and read it!

Offered during my 3rd BC Anniversary TBR RABCK Extravaganza, so it'll be mailed off to the winner soon. Reserved.
