I read this book awhile back, but what I remember about it was that when I finished reading it, I was determined to be aware of my surroundings as well as my actions. Everything has a reaction. I'm going to release this in hopes others will be able to get "something" out if it. :-)

This book was definitely not my cup of tea, and not what I thought it would be like. I get a bit irritated with self-righteous, pseudo-philosophers preaching their ideas thinly disguised as fiction. His beliefs about primitivism and the "noble savage" are not new, and the fact that they are held up as the cure-all for our troubled society is naive to say the least. His portrayal of the narrator as somehow representative of the general population, believing that all of creation was made to produce and serve humans, being the culmination of evolution, is rather insulting.
As I said, not really my cup of tea, but not nearly so bad as The Celestine Prophecy (which I threw away halfway through the book). Hopefully, the next reader will find something more worthwhile in its pages.
