Description: There had never been a reason to think of any other life . . . until he walked into hers.

The only daughter of a noted Montreal physician and educator, Cassandra Dell Winston enjoys all the opportunities of Eastern society and affluence. She has never dreamed of any other life.

Then a serious and conscientious young doctor begins coming to dinner, turning her world upside down.

As Mrs. Samuel Smith, Cassandra agrees to move with her husband to the frontier. But nothing has prepared her for the difficulties of life out west. Dare she pray that the move is only temporary and they will soon return to the city? Will she ever be able to embrace life as "Mrs. Doc"?

***This was a nice wholesome story about the life of Cassie and all the ways that she had to "grow" up. I enjoyed it and it kept my interest throughout.

I really enjoy this story. About a young wealthy girl meeting a young man MR. smith to be a doctor. They moved to the west to find the kind of life she left behind is not even closed to what she is used to. She is hoping that they will be able to move back soon to the east. But one thing and other has made it not happen. she learns to cope and finds God, friends, children, and even grandchildren done the road. This book is going to a bookcrosser as a surprised.

It's a good thing that I'm in a Janette Oke story mood. Because now I've got 3 new ones to read. Thanks so much fungirl503!

I did read this book last July, but apparently I never journalled it. I'd be hard pressed to remember my thoughts on this one from such a far date. This one, I believe, covered nearly an entire lifespan. It was about midway on my Janette Oke list, meaning there are books I like more and books I like less. It was standard.

Off today in the mail to a new member in Wasilla, Alaska! It might go via the slow boat to China, though.
