Heroine Kate Simmonds is a waitress. Not that she actually wishes to remain a waitress. But she has yet to decide on a career she is happy with, and one which will please her old-fashioned mother. Privately-educated Katie dreams of owning her own restaraunt and being her own boss. But the cafe in which she works is about to be taken over - by the man who she left in a restaraunt a week or so before after a disatrous date.

Yay! Received this book yesterday from Superdeya for a swap! Can't wait to read it - I loved "The Nanny". I've promised myself to tackle Mount TBR first though... *sigh*

Oooh I absolutely adored this book! I must admit I was expecting quite a bit of it, since I loved The Nanny and you never know what a second by an author will be like, but this one didn't disappoint me one bit - it was at least as good as The Nanny!

Although it is quite a thick book (500+ pages) it is such a quick read, because it is hard to put down and such a page turner. I loved the main character Katie and following her struggle to find out what she wanted in life and how it all turned out for her. I didn't always like her best friend Sukie though, but it was such a great story with quite a few surprising twists and a lovely satisfactory ending, *sigh*. Can't wait to share this book with others. Will pass it along again shortly!

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

Had this book a while now and it hasn't got any nearer the top of the pile so I'm putting it into a box of books that I'm offering up on Freecycle.

I'm moving at the end of the month so I need to move on some of the books that have been stuck on Mt TBR for a while :-)
