I really enjoyed this book several years ago. So much so, that I have been unable to part with my only copy.
I was thrilled to find this copy at my library book sale, even though the cover is a bit creased. It's a book that I've always wanted to share.
I found this book to be completly engaging. I was absorbed in Sayuri's world.
One of the things that amazed me about this book was that it was written by a man. It seems to have been written completely with a woman's voice.
I hear that this is being made into a movie, and I can't wait to see it! I hope it lives up to the book1

This arrived today and I have high hopes for it. Once I heard something about the strange things they did to these women. Sometimes, I have difficulty reading a book in which I cannot pronounce the names or other words beyond me. I hope that is not the case here.
