As I started reading this book, I realized I'd read it almost 3 years ago.
And again, wanted to like it more than I did.

Here's my journal entry from before:
OK, I'm glad I read it and know about it, but IMHO, it doesn't offer
as much insight as the many stories, facts, "research" would indicate.

Yes, as I told my HS students for years before starting their
internships in elem. classrooms and child care programs: fair or
not, first impressions really do count!

But, the author's promise of looking at the flip-side: how to make
good choices in an instant didn't seem to happen for me.
