I enjoyed this. As I grew up with New Australians in Sydney and have known a few who came from China, I could relate to it. The book is an easy read although it deals with a serious subject and the vital thread is the link between mother and dauughter. I must pass it to my daughter :-)

This book was an easier read that I had expected. Written well enough to be believable although it is a fictional story. I'm not going to read Belinda Alexandra's other book Wild Lavender.
