I finished reading this book last night. It just didn't do anything for me and I don't plan to read the other books in this series. Dave Robicheaux (main character) seems to be in deep trouble himself (inwardly and with the law) instead of being the hero that solves everything. So okay, he does solve it, but he wants to be back on the Force so bad that it upsets everyone he comes in contact with. Or perhaps just upsets me. He's so far from being Alex Cross that it's sickening. lol He sees his wife and father as ghosts and I couldn't even relate (or worry about) his daughter being in jeopardy (perhaps she got on my nerves too). Hopefully someone else will enjoy this more than I did.
