Amazon Synopsis
Volume 68 in the Agatha Christie Collection (1967) Limited edition of 1000 copies worldwide Gipsy's Acre was a truly beautiful upland site with views out to sea -- and in Michael Rogers it stirred a child-like fantasy. There, among the dark fir trees, he planned to build a house, find a wonderful girl and live happily ever after, Yet, as he left the village, a shadow of menace hung over the land. For this was the place where accidents happened. Perhaps Michael should have heeded the locals' warnings: 'There's no luck for them as meddles with Gipsy's Acre'.

Oops.. I caught this about 2 years ago! Will put nice booklabel on it now in advance of its release over next few weeks.
Not your typical Agatha Christie whodunnit - I was able to guess the killer about half-way through, whereas usually I'm floundering in red herrings and I never get it right. So horray for me!
Very atmospheric and enjoyable, she builds the contrast of the menace of Gipsy's Acre and Ellies innocence to a peak with her usual finesse.
Extra brownie points for the fantastically retro 60s cover
Going out as a BOOKRAY!

Received the book some while ago, but forgot to register it!Thanx gia-wk for reminding me to do so!
Not half bad, but not the best of Agatha Christie. I dont' know, maybe I have read too many of her books, and I am a bit severe!
