In "Heart Full of Lies" Ann Rule answers the question "Can the female really be deadlier than the male?". She answers that question in one of her most intriguing tales ever-- a riveting story of seduction, betrayal, and murder.

As usual Ann Rule has a way of taking lots of details and making it a readable and interesting read. I am not a big true crime fan, but I try to read Ann's books as she does a great job.

Crazy woman drugs husband, tries to drown him, uses a taser on him, finally shoots him in the head.
Of course this 112 pound woman had to do all of these things to her 6 feet tall, 180 pound husband in self defense.
Uh huh … and purple pigs fly to Pluto wearing pink tutus.
Still in shock over the slap on the wrist sentence that she received, something that evil should never be allowed to walk free again.
She was released from prison in October 2012 and has since remarried.
I pity the poor fool that she was able to con into saying "I do."

Received in the mail along with two other books (romances) for my Blind Date with a Book. What fun I will have with not just one book, but also two books with juicy guys, Alex and Lyle. Thanks book-drunkard for the books. Greatly appreciated.

A true crime story of a woman who kills her third husband, Chris Northorn, a pilot for Hawaiian Airlines. The author starts slowly, teasing out the life of the woman, Lyisa, up until the time she marries Chris. What seemed like an idyllic love story turns dark quickly. After she chases after him and convinces this confirmed bachelor into marrying him on the beach at sunset, she then complains to everyone about how abusive he is, etc. Was his death a tragic accident or premeditated murder?

Like the show 48 hours, it is up to the reader to determine. Personally, I think she planned it and may have thought she'd get away with it by priming the pump with her outlandish tales of abuse.
