I bought this book because I like contemporary English literature and the movies the books are made into (e.g. Bridget Jones' Diary, High Fidelity.) I also like the actor Colin Firth. In an interview, Firth said he was going to be doing a movie based on the book New Cardiff. I ran out to get the book and this is it.

I think the writing is good, yet simple. The book was entertaining and a fast read. I don't know if I would become friends with the characters, they seemed a bit dim for me. I'll be interested to see how they make this into a movie.

I found this book at a laundry mat. I was bored and found it to read. After reading the inside cover I decided I must participate. This book also saved me from having to talk to an overly religious person who wanted to spread the word. Instead I told her about this new book sharing idea.
I've started the book and find the writing interesting and I will continue to read just to find out about some of these zany characters.
