It took seven seconds for Web London to lose everything: his friends, his team, his reputation. Point man of the FBI's super-elite Hostage Rescue Team, Web roared into a blind alley toward a drug leader's lair, only to meet a high-tech, custom-designed ambush that killed everyone around him. Now coping with the blame-filled words of anguished widows and the suspicions of colleagues, Web tries to put his life back together.

Weia.
I took this one from the book exchange at the International MeetUp in Basel. I had a 5 1/2 hr train ride, so ample time to get into it.
I am 50 pages into it, and it really gets you. I had the audio book read by an american actor, but I was so unnerved by his voice that I stopped after the first chapter. Seems to be a much better *read*

This was a very good read. Hints are leading you all over the place, and when you think you've got figured it out, the story takes another turn. Personally, I would have liked to see a bit more of the "psychological side" in the story (that was an important bit in the first 150 pages, but got somehow dropped for more "action"). The end is really surprising regarding "whodunnit", but not so surprising concerning Web Londons reaction to all this (at least from what one has learnt about him in the book). The bloke is not afraid putting himself in harm's way, but there are ghosts from the past he doesn't even acknowledge on the last page of the book.

This one goes back to Sunneschii! *lol* Handed over during the International German-language Convention in Dresden. Hope you like it. As I said, it has some more "psychological" plots for the girls --and things that go "boom!" for the boys.

The book is back with me....

Thank you very much, GFI!:-)

I've finally read the book. And I should have so right when I first got this book. It was a good, suspenseful read.

(And even as a girl, I liked the *boom* parts! ;-))
