Received book today. Saw the movie and enjoyed it, but had never read one of Ludlum's books. Annulla was kind enough to grant my wish on the Book Wish. As an added bonus, I was given "Go Ask Alice", which I've always wanted to read, but never got around to it.
So cool!!! Will read and release both.

Received from cobaltcat. Now I have all three "Bourne" books to read and can do it in order. Many thanks.

Just a notice that this book is still waiting in the TBR box (which was a stack until a reorganized my study closet and all the books therein). I intend to read it but there are around ten books in that box from Bookcrossers and they keep staring at me.
I especially want to read this as it will lead in to the other two Bourne books I have.

This book struggled valiantly to the top of my "to be read" stack from other Bookcrossers and now enters the "reading it now" phase.
One third through and I am already noticing many differences from the movie/screenplay. The action has rapid fire intensity as Bourne struggles to identify himself and those who want him dead. He has gained help and a love interest in a completely different manner than the film. If you have only seen the movie, give the book a try. So far, I'm riding along on its thrilling journey and trying to hang on to my seat.

My father-in-law has read almost all of Robert Ludlum's works. He once told me that if you read Ludlum, be prepared for the story to wrap up everything in the last ten pages. It will all lead to a rushed ending that you may or may not be satisfied with, although you'll definitely enjoy the ride.
I have know read a Robert Ludlum novel, and I must agree. The book was a top-notch thriller with many conspiracy and spy game adventures. I would have rated it a nine if the ending had been better, stronger, faster (you know, like the Six Million Dollar Man).
There are plenty of variances from the movie so that one who saw it, will still have fun reading it.
I am releasing this book as part of a group of books to be given to a family my mom knows. She brought me a bunch of my books she had told the family about, that they would receive if I declined on any. Since I want to keep my childhood memories, I am releasing a bagful to give them in their place.
