A great story based on the second fleet, which was a group of ships and not really the second fleet, that arrived in Australia 1789. One ship was totally made up of women and arrived with a few more people than it left the shores of England??
A very interesting portrail of the people on board and those who were looking after them. Not only does it cover the journey but also how the women were sentenced and what crimes they had committed but also what happened on their arrival to this strange land on the other side of the world.
