Nick Hornby is one of my favorite authors. When I was in London recently, I saw this book for sale and picked it up. (It had not yet been released in the US at the time.)
It's the first female point-of-view writing for Mr. Hornby and he does it quite well. Although it lacks the punch and wit of his other works, it's still a good read.
I recommend this book and his others. (My personal favorite was About A Boy, which was just made into a movie.)
