From the back cover:
What could be more idyllic than a summer in the Berkshires, sorting through James Joyce's letters to his publisher. What could be more peaceful than long walks in the woods with friends old and new.
Well just about anything. Kate Fansler finds that literary ability and love of nature are far less vital than supersleuthing skill when her next-door neighbor is murdered-and all her house guests are prime suspects....
It all adds up to a delightful mystery in the best whodunit tradition!

Received 4 Kate Fansler mysteries today, thanks so much Antheras!
This was my first Kate Fansler book, it was an Ok read. I guess I am use to more of the sick shit books. After reading thrillers going back to a more traditonal mystery is a little hard for me(personally). I also read The Question of Max to see if I could get more into these books. I think I am going to have pass on the rest of the Kate Fansler books. I just have way too many books to read, and need to clear my shelfs off a bit.
Thanks Antheras for giving me a chance to try out a new author.

Thanks schoolin - I love the Kate Fansler books - I love my sick shit too, but these make a good break without falling into the twee trap I find many "cozy" mystery books do.

This is odd - for some reason I did not realise Kate Fansler books had been around for so long - and I didn't enjoy this one quite as much as I've enjoyed others. Not sure if this was cos it was an early one - I found it a bit CLEVER and that irritated me a bit. Still a good mystery though.

This book arrived safe and sound in Buffalo, NY today.
I wonder if the author has any idea where the bulk of that correspondence actually is... in Buffalo ;)

I'm ruthlessly weeding my overstuffed bookshelves and am setting this book aside to wild-release in the near future.
