For once in Becky Bloomwood's life, things are going smoothly. She's got the dream job as a personal shopper (spending other people's money - and getting paid for it.) She's got a fabulous Manhattan apartment with her boyfriend Luke. They've even opened a joint bank account (although they can't quite agree on whether a Miu Miu skirt counts as a household expense).

Then Luke proposes - and all of a sudden life gets hectic. Becky's mum wants her to get married in Oxshott and wear her old frilly wedding dress. Luke's mother wants to host a grand extravaganza at the New York Plaza, complete with woodland glade and the New York Philharmonic.

Becky knows she has to sit down and decide - but to be honest, it's a lot more fun tasting cake, trying on dresses and registereing wedding presents. Time's ticking by, plans are being made both sides of the Atlantic and soon she realises she's in trouble .......

I have made this book into a bookring with some of my 'mystery Shopper' friends!!

Yet another fantastic book!! I was worrying that the shopaholic book might not be as good and funny as the other two I have read, but it's still fantastic!!

Right up until the end I couldn't figure out where and when she was going to get married and I was kept in suspense LOL!!

The book is off to another 'shopaholic' before it travels to my mystery shopping friends!!

I like these books - even if some of the things that Becky does make me really cringe! *lol*

How *does* she get herself into these situations, but then get them to sort themselves out in the end?! Amazing! I find I have to suspend my disbelief for the duration of these books, but it is funny (not to mention bottom-clenching!) all the things this woman gets up to!
The characters, while being slightly exaggerated, are generally well-rounded, and you get enough information about those that matter to be able to form an opinion about them - even if it usually is the opinion that the author wants you to have! ;o)
