Everyone seems to be reading Jodi Picoult. I think I'll give her a go too (peer pressure!!) Picked this up from the Tra Baci cafe at the Uni of Sydney - great coffee, great books :)
... or KarenZero can read it instead and tell me what she thinks! Then maybe I'll give Jodi Picoult a try :) Enjoy!
Thanks so much Hunnyb for sharing this!!!

This book kept my attention and was interesting, but didn't captivate me as much as the other Jodi Picoult book I read ("My Sister's Keeper"). I like how her books have twists and turns, but this one felt a little bit movie-ish to me (they all kinda do actually, don't they?). I enjoyed the story parts more than the courtroom drama parts, so those I found most interesting and exciting. Of all the characters, I liked Mariah's mother the best, I think. She had a lot of chutzpah (in the good, gutsy way). Anyway, thanks a ton to hunnyb for sharing this book! I have a few other Jodi Picoult books gathered that I intend to read as well, including "The Pact" and "Vanishing Acts" which are supposed to be quite good.
This has been passed on to twinkpuddin to continue its journey!

I've never read any Jodi Picoult, so I'm intrigued to see what it's all about. Getting started tonite.
I thought this was a good read and I'd definitely be interested in checking out some other books by her.
Have karenlea's address and will get the book out to her as soon as I can get to the post office. Thanks KarenZero for sharing!

Dropped in the mail yesterday! Enjoy!
Caught!!! I have a few other rings/rays at the moment, but I should be able to read this within the next two-three weeks. Thank you for sharing!!!
This is my second Picoult book and I really enjoyed it. The story and general subject was intriguing. The ending was a little predictable, but on a whole the story was so enjoyable, that I didn't mind. It was also a fast read. I am excited to read more Picoult books.

At first, I found this book to be difficult to digest because it appeared to be heading in a direction that was in sacrelgious conflict with my beliefs as a Christian and a catechist in the Catholic Church. Yet a part of me was also highly fascinated and captivated by the story, especially since I work as a mental health professional. As I keep reading, I discovered that it wasn't sacreligious at all but rather a story of general faith and hope, of the extent a mother would go through to protect her child, and of the intrusive nature of the media. I particularly liked the strength Mariah showed during this conflict, despite the fact that she had a past history of nervous breakdown. And I like the way the character of Ian evolved. Secondary characters were all wonderful, in particular Mariah's mother and the lawyers. I thought the trial was once of the most interesting parts of the story.
As with all Picoult books, this was a deep and heavy novel which wasn't easily breezed through, but it was definitely a compelling and awesome book to read!

Release #63 in the Keep Them moving Challenge to read and release books received from other bookcrossers.
KimberleeV has a message on her profile that she is moving to another state in June and wants to be skipped over for bookrings and perhaps placed lower on the list if possible.
awakeagain has obtained another copy of this book and asked to be skipped.
Sending to vzfamily in Ohio.
Received this bookring in today's mail. THANKS for adding me!!
I FINALLY finished this one! Believe it or not, I've been reading it since the day after it arrived. I've had much less time and energy to read with everything going on right now in my life.
I really enjoyed this book. Until about the last 100 pages or so, you really wondered whose side Ian was on. The thing I loved most was that as Jodi does best, she left the religious debate and the stigmata in a grey area for us to make our own conclusion on did she or didn't she?

Received in the mail on Saturday but was unable to journal until today. I've already started reading it and will try to pass it on as quickly as I can. Thanks KarenZero for including me in this ring!
I finished up Keeping Faith last night. I can't say it was one of my favorite Jodi Piccoult books. I'm not sure if it was the subject matter or the way it was written. I really felt like I struggled to finish it though. I was also hoping that there'd be a little bit more to the ending. Thanks for including me in this ring KarenZero!
I'm hoping to get this in the mail on Monday. I'm waiting on Knitwit's address. She's on vacation. :-)

Just wanted to apologize for taking an extra week to get this in the mail. I'd planned to get it out last week, but I've been overcome with morning sickness and barely leaving the house. My husband was kind enough to take it to the post office for me yesterday, so it's on it's way to KnitWit.
Arrived today. I shall read it and pass it along as soon as I can. Thanks for sharing!
I thought this was an incredible riveting book. It is the fourth Jodi Picoult that I've read and I would say that this is my current favorite of hers. I have always been fascinated by the point at which individuals, society and religion collide and this book really captured a lot of the topics I've brought up in Sunday school and bible study - I've gotten more than a few odd looks after bringing them up as well.
I've gotta add more Jodi to my TBR list.
Off to jianji tomorrow.

Arrived today.1 bookring ahead of this.It sure is going back and forth across the country a lot.
This was as usual for Picoult a very good read. Was an easier subject matter than some of hers that I have read.Did not feel too sorry for Collin.Faith of course was a character we were all meant to feel sorry for.I will read more of her books.

Got this this morning while I'm home on a sick day, and it was perfect company for me - I'm already halfway through! Thanks for sharing it, I love Jodi Picoult :)
This was a great book. Being a Christian myself, it was a very interesting topic for me to think about as well. Jodi Picoult never disappoints!
I will PM the next person in line and get this book moving again soon.
EDIT: This book has been mailed on 5/4/07. Enjoy!

Thanks so much! Haven't received a bookring book in a long time and this one is most welcome! I've been reading Kate, which should be more engaging that it is for me.
So, I'll be starting this book in the next couple of days and I'm quite sure it will go quickly like most of her books go :)

Took me awhile to get into this book but then it went quickly. I enjoyed it but think some of Picoult's later efforts are even more readable. (not that I've read them all, but half a dozen now)
I've emailed collectorkerri for address and when that is available will try to get this in the mail within a few days.

Received today. Will read ASAP.
Better than some Jodi Picoults (Salem Falls, The Tenth Circle), and not as good as others (The Pact, Nineteen Minutes). Really interesting subject matter. Likable characters (even Ian, toward the end).
Sent on to mysteryfan03 today.
