Rachel's Holiday
4 journalers for this copy...
"Here's Rachel Walsh, twenty-seven and the miserable owner of size 8 feet. She has regular congress with Luke Costello, a man who wears his leather trousers tight. And she's fond - some might say /too/ fond - of recreational drugs."

I really struggled with this book. 600-plus pages were definitely not needed to tell this story, and I was so fed up by it that I don't know how I didn't give up halfway through it (I can only be masochist).
The topic is very interesting, but the book could not interest me. It also didn't help that I absolutely hated and had no interest in Rachel for 400 pages of it! Then, suddenly, she "sees the light", transforms herself, and in an instant (in terms of book pages) has her life turned around and everything is a promise of a great future. Good for her, at this point I kind of sympathized with her, but is was rushed and too late for me to give a higher rating to the book.
