AUTUMN QUAIL
1 journaler for this copy...
Was was fairly interesting; for me it was mainly because it talked about an area I have never visited, Egypt. The writing was fluid, but the story development was lacking in my opinion. The main character, after being shut out of a new political party that resulted from the 1952 Revolution in Egypt, spends most the book feeling sorry for himself. The ending was left very open, like the writer just stopped writing... Maybe I missed something because it won a Nobel Prize for Literature?
