WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Couldn't really get into this. It seems like a real good read, but so much is going on in my life right now that I can't seem to find the patience to get into this. Might try again some day!
My goodness, this book is huge! Thanks so much michelle1977, I'm looking forward to reading this :-)
I didn't give this book a rating, as like michelle1977 I couldn't get into it either. I might rent the DVD so I can see what the story is like, and maybe have another attempt in the future.
Thanks for the opportunity though michelle1977! I'll take this to the next Meetup, I'm sure it will be snapped up :-)

I have had this book for entirely too long. Like the readers before me, I struggled to get into it. However, I eventually got there in the end.
The story follows the rise and fall in fortune of two young women with contrasting temperaments. Much like Jane Austen, Thackeray makes some pointed commentary about society and the voice of the book is reasonably entertaining. But my goodness, it needed to be about half the size.
