This book is a MUST read. It combines the brilliant and beautiful writing talent of William Horwood (author of Duncton Wood, Skallagrigg and The Willows in Winter) with a story of childhood struggle that will touch you with it's authenticity and familiarity. It's the sort of book that once you have read it, you can't bear the thought that others haven't !! Please help this book in it's travels after you have enjoyed it. Best wishes.
