A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius

Synopsis
Dave Egger's parents died from cancer within a month of each other when he was 21 and his brother, Christopher, was seven. They left the Chicago suburb where they had grown up and moved to San Francisco. This book tells the story of their life together.
I've given up with this one after getting about halfway through. I can't bear Eggers' arrogance anymore. I just don't find him funny enough to ignore all the 'look at me aren't I great' crap that he's included. The book seems to just be wandering at the moment - where did the plot go?
So, this one is looking for a new home. Hope whoever picks it up next enjoys it more than I did.

Picked up at the stamford arms meetup
Have to say I agree 100% with Winterson on this one - I gave up on it before her however at only about 1/3 of the way in. I kept thinking I ought to persevere with it but in the end it just seemed to completely lose any sense of plot and just became too clever clever for me. Not so much Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius as Slightly Dull Work of Pretentious Claptrap.
Giving it to LyzzyBee to add to her pile of books to release.
