An excellent book! More special to me personally because my mama is from the south (Georgia) and just this week I returned from a trip to her hometown, searching for some info about her life there, some "Divine Secrets" of her own I guess you could say.

I agree that this was a fun read. It's been long enough since I saw the movie that I wasn't remembering or comparing the movie vs the book. Very easy to read in short spurts-a factor that is now key for me!
