Took this out of Bunnylady's bookbox #4.
This mystery was clever, but it dragged a bit and wasn't really exciting enough for me. I didn't guess the murderer though. The main sleuths were okey, but they didn't have much depth. Maybe someone else will enjoy it more.

Interesting choice of sleuths---two friends from a seniors' residence---some very funny bits & few twists & turns in the plot. Still a bit heavy on the dieting/eating/exercising humour (maybe I'm sensitive!)& no one seems to take murder too seriously. Lots of possibilities here though.

So Angela Benbow and Caledonia Wingate quickly join the edgy little party at the Time-Out Inn to check out their fellow guests: grumpy Marceline, face-lifted Carmen, dimpled Cracker, saggy Judy, and roly-poly Tilly, among others. Very nice ladies, too - on the surface."
I enjoyed the read, although I felt like the only characters I got to know were the two sleuths (Angela & Cal). The murder didn't seem to be very important, or really much of the story ... kind of strange in a murder-mystery!

Overall, a good investigation but no more. The two ladies made me think of Miss Marple but the latter is way more interesting and captivating. But the novel is a good entertainment and reads quite fast when you want something not too complicated!
