A wonderful book, simply amazing, worth reading again and again. The setting; Florence Italy around 1528. Art is the main theme, but the author entwines sex, love, and death together to make the reader never want to put the book down. The Daily Telegraph says: "Forget the cliches. Dunant has created a vivid and compellingly believable picture of Renaissance Florence: the squalor and brutality; the confidence and vitality; the political machinations.. magnificent."
I really liked this book!!
