Found the book was compelling. I had the feeling I'd heard the story before but not until I came to the end did I realize the historical parallel. have always loved the story of John of Gaunt and katherine Swynford. I thought it was set in an appropriate era and cleverly written. I will pass the book on to a friend I know loves family sagas. The book was left on my desk at work by someone unknown but i'm grateful they did.
