Jemima J : A Novel About Ugly Ducklings and Swans (2nd Copy)
3 journalers for this copy...
I can't believe I finished this book in just 5 hours. Jane Green has a wonderful style of writing. The commentaries, the acerbic wit was absolutely delightful to read.
I think any woman can relate to our heroine, Jemima Jones. She like most of women today is battling her weight and insecurities of life. Experiencing racism on a different level.
This is a wonderful coming of age novel, even at 27! We truly see Jemima blossom from an ugly duckling to a graceful funny swan. Jemima eventually by befriending a once enemy eventually finds true love and the job of her dreams.
This is a great feel good book.

This copy did take a small bath with me, lol. Still readable, just not PC worthy.
Picked up at the Dayton Bookcrosssing Meetup
This was an okay read. The story was a little different than most. Maybe I just wish I could find that same willpower (and time) to work out. Or maybe I'm just getting tired of the genre.
Heading to the 2006 BC Convention in Toronto for Heaven150! Happy Reading
