Fairytales should be an option for Book Category. I have many books that would fit into that category.

Love this version. McKinley is truly insipired.

I am not sure how I didn't find this book back when I was 12 - 12 YOA me would have adored this book. I still liked it, and appreciated the bit of differences - I am still waiting for a book that just accepts the Beast is a Beast (ala the 80's TV show) - but this was still enjoyable, and we all love a happy ending :-)

Just finished this lovely 'Beauty and the Beast' retelling. I felt the Beast should have stayed a beast and was disappointed when that did not happen. Oh well, it did not diminish my enjoyment one iota.

There for a bit, when she was trying to get back to him, I got a little mad thinking this was going to be one of those stories that ends differently, and he would actually be dead when she arrived, and the story would end like that. So glad it didn't!
