Journal Entry 5 by Sherri5762 from Houston, Texas USA on Saturday, March 19, 2005
I have to say, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Becky. LOL. She's so clueless, but you can't help but love her. I have to admit, I identify with her on the spending problem, although, mine is nowhere near as bad as hers. The problems with her sister were hilarious and I laughed out loud more than once. She always manages to get herself into another bad situation with Luke. Too funny!!! Thank you for letting me be first, Jaysgirl! I'll get this out in the post probably at the end of this week, assuming I hear back from next in line.

Arrived safe and sound! I'm almost finished the book I'm currently reading and will get to this one next. Judging from the other journal entries, I think I'll enjoy this one just as much as the rest of the book in the Shopaholic series. Thanks, JaysGirl for setting up the bookring, and to teenage-faerie for sending it on!

You gotta love a girl who will walk over hot coals for jewerly. ;o)

Becky and I don't have much in common, but she makes me laugh, and that's enough to keep me reading. She continues to get herself in terrible messes, which continue to be fixed by her sincere desire to right all her wrongs. And, yes, when she's not messing up or fixing up, she's shopping. We can't all relate to her billionaire husband or her next-to-royal friends, and not all of us can afford to shop at Harrod's every day, but I'm sure some of us can relate to the eBay obsession -- that particular part had me laughing so hard I had to put the book down!

I won't give details, but I also got a kick out of the cliffhanger at the end -- can't wait for Sophie Kinsella's next addition to this series!

rec'd the book today - came home to my sister and my parents all saying "You got interesting mail!" and peering over my shoulder when I opened the book. Will read ASAP - I need some light reading right now!!

Sorry for my short-hand, am used to writing short notes on diary system at work this summer!!

Well, I finished the book in about three days (and it then sat on my chair for the last week and a half...). It was good, but I have to say that I still like the first two the best. I hadn't really planned on reading this fourth book as I was feeling that the Becky story line was starting to get old (how many times can one character spend too much money before she learns her lesson?). But the story was good, I was pleased to see it revolved more around Becky getting to know her sister - I was expecting the book to be Becky and her long-lost sister travelling around shopping all day. It definately had some very funny moments that had me laughing right out loud and as always, it was a light easy read that took my mind off of real life. And like everyone else, the cliff-hanger ending has me wondering... I'm definately more likely to pick up the fifth book than I was the fourth ;)

I'll have the book off in the mail in a few days!

Journal Entry 20 by Jessi626 from Otterberg, Rheinland-Pfalz Germany on Thursday, September 15, 2005
The book arrived today. Thank you!
I'm looking forward to reading this book, because I like the Shopaholic series a lot. I hope this book is as good as the others...

Journal Entry 21 by Jessi626 from Otterberg, Rheinland-Pfalz Germany on Sunday, October 2, 2005
I loved this book, I couldn't stop reading. It took me only 2 days, although I usually read much slower in English than in German.

When I got near the end of the book, I thought there would be a happy ending and this would have been the last book of the series. But after having read the last pages, I think there has to be another book. The series can't end like this! I hope there'll be more books about Becky :-)

Journal Entry 22 by Jessi626 from Otterberg, Rheinland-Pfalz Germany on Thursday, November 3, 2005
I couldn't contact Sahmofjpg or Dumbfox, so I'll think of another way to release this book. Perhaps I'll take it to a meet-up. I don't want to wild release it in Germany, because I think it wouldn't be too successful.

EDIT February, 4th: Given to te-sa on our mini-Meetup in Bingen.

Journal Entry 23 by te-sa from Düsseldorf, Nordrhein-Westfalen Germany on Sunday, February 5, 2006
Got it from Jessi626 at our book swapping miniMeetup. I haven't read any of the series yet and am very much looking forward to starting.

Edit: Not really my kind of thing, but it was entertaining enough.
