This one is light enough to mail :)
How a sagebrush desert was transformed into orchards through the immagination and industry of English settlers from 1901 to 1914. Then the men left to fight - and die - for King and Country. A storm ripped out the vital irrigation flume. Now only ghosts of flume, trees and homes remain to mock this once thriving settlement.

Caught this at Word on the Street in Vancouver.
Very happy to 'find' it as have been meaning to read it for ages.
I'll read it, then I'll wait to release it at a historical/genealogical gathering where it will find a good home & I hope, a reader who will journal it for its previous readers.
Thanks!
