The Cat Who Brought Down the House
6 journalers for this copy...
I'd completely forgotten about accepting this book on a Bookrelay (in fact, I had to search through my old emails to remind myself exactly why SalDragski had sent it to me), so it was a wonderful surprise to have it turn up in my mailbox this morning.
Thank you so much! Once I've read it, there's a few other "Cat Who" fans in Christchurch who'll be keen to get their hands on it too...

FutureCat who was going to spend the afternoon doing housework, but might just have to spend some of it reading now ;-)

Ok, so I spent most of the afternoon reading it... :-)
Qwilleran and his siamese friends investigate the mysterious circumstances surrounding an aging film star who retires to Pickax. Not quite as good as some of the other Cat Who books I've read (perhaps because the mystery is not so central to the story (and in fact isn't much of a mystery - it's pretty obvious what's going on early in the book)), but still fun to return to the world of Qwill, Koko, Yumyum, and their many friends.
Thanks again, SalDragski!
Now, I really *must* get on with that housework!!!

Given to Cathytay at tonight's meetup.
Cathietay - that would be the girl that has dropped off the radar :-) Another great great light relief novel with cats, it doesn't get much better. Really enjoyed the read and have returned to FutureCat to release/give to someone at the convention in Wellington.
Dropped off at my place today by a friend of Cathietay's. Now I just have to find an empty corner in my luggage to squeeze it in to...

Journal Entry 10 by futurecat from Christchurch, Canterbury New Zealand on Tuesday, February 20, 2007
Added to the groaning "book buffet" table at the convention. I think I saw it being released by someone later in the weekend.
Journal Entry 11 by carnelian-rune from Stratford, Taranaki New Zealand on Wednesday, February 21, 2007
Picked this up at the 2007 NZ Bookcrossing Convention, as it looked like something my mother might like. She doesn't have a computer, or for that matter show any signs of wanting one, so if the book makes its way back to me I'll try and capture her comments in another journal entry.
