2 journalers for this copy...
I read this Newberry Award winning book at a young age upon the recommendation of a teacher. I have always been very interested in books on the subject of the Holocaust. This soon became one of my very favorite books. I have read the copy in my permanent collection many, many times. This copy was purchased at Goodwill for release.

Sending to scrimshawn today in a trade. Hope you enjoy this book as much as I do!
What an excellent book! I love how the author uses elements of suspense to make us thing that Annemarie and her family are about to get captured in their efforts to protect the Jews. I also love the historical accuracy used to create the story. Author Lois Lowry really did her homework before deciding to read this book. I reccommend this book to anybody seeking a good read. It is especially good for middle school, high school freshmen, and intermediate elementary readers.
