I loved the first one of the Earth's children series so was very happy to find this in a charity shop.

It's been so long since I read Clan of the Cave Bear but there's plenty of recap throughout Valley of the Horses so it wasn't hard to remember the basic story. I liked this continuation of Ayla's life, the one annoyance was the level of language the characters had, but I'm not sure about language evolution generally as to whether it was accurate or not, but it did seem to jar with the general story (but that could have been me).

The book arrived awhile a go I was so excited I forgot to Journal... So sorry. I have read these books many times yet always want to read them again. Thanks so much for sending these books to me :)
This is one of my favourite books. I love how the book jumps between the different characters stories. The obstacles that they have to overcome to survive in a world so different but similar to what we know now.
