Blurb or Synopsis: Number 10 in the Stephanie Plum series,TEN BIG ONES is another fun read by Janet Evanovich. I can never get enough of these books. I just love the characters - Stephanie, who always has at least one vehicle blow up (or catch on fire) and is currently living with cop Joe Morelli and his huge dog. (She's got her hamster with her). Ranger, the huge gorgeous bounty hunter is also still in the picture, always showing up when she least expects him. In fact, while Ranger is out of town, Stephanie finds a way to locate his apartment, and lives there for a period of time while she is hiding out from gang members who are trying to kill her. (Morelli doesn't know where she is, except that she's safe).

Lula is back, the ex-prostitute who now works for the bail bonds company Stephanie's sleazy cousin Vinnie, and the two of them (Lula and Stephanie) are working together. even grandma Mazur is in on the act this time, which is always good for laughs. Sally, the transvestite from an older Stephanie Plum novel, has returned and is a welcome addition to the cast of zany characters. And let's not forget Stephanie's sister Valerie, who is pregnant and about to be wed to her geeky boyfriend Albert Kloughn...

While as always these books are funny,I felt this had a lot more tension as suspense, as it seemed like Stephanie was in really big danger from the gang member that wanted her dead. Even Morelli new the odds of her staying alive while running around town were slim, and she was safe only if she kept indoors and in a secret location. unfortunately, Stephanie has a problem with staying put....
