A wonderful book about a woman's need to balance herself as a mother and artist. Anne Truitt's journal continues to document very clearly everything that she is going through in her life - and make it interesting to the reader. She articulates many thought processes that are an organic part of creation in a way that we can follow. Her exploration of her life is fascinating, especially the balancing between artist, arts administrator and human person.
