I couldn't resist this. It may be totally cheesy, but how can you not want to read about an animal sanctuary?
wow - now THESE are animal people. true story of these 21 or so people who found the land, built the sanctuary, took in the animals, and then built the organization, the way it should be. I interviewed to be the exec. dir. of an animal non-profit, and it was exactly the opposite, and horrible.

Nice book about people doing good for animals and creating one of the largest and best known sancuaries in the US. I'd love to visit there sometime and adopt someone.
