This is another funny Christopher Moore book, though it was less laugh out loud funny than some of his other ones. I'm sure that he had lots of fun writing about Coyote, but some of the jokes seemed more like the frat boy type instead of his usual clever wit.

I've sent this on to caligula03 as part of a book relay.

Thank you so much, caligula03! Since joining BookCrossing I have fallen in love with Christopher Moore and want to read all of his books. After this I only have one to go. I'll read this as soon as I have a break from rings and rays. :)

Yey! Like every book I've read by Christopher Moore, I liked this book too. All of his books are wildly creative, fun and keep my attention throughout. He tells such imaginative stories! In this one the Coyote ledgends were great. I loved Minty Fresh and Coyote but I think Calliope was a bit weak. After reading this though I have decided to change all my pin numbers so they are not the same. :)

Thanks so much frybaby for sending this book out on its BookCrossing journey. I have offered it as a RABCK to sunlightbub.

Sunlightbub enjoyed Practical Demonkeeping so I thought I'd send this for her to read. I can't get enough of Christopher Moore. Maybe you will feel the same. :) Enjoy!

I haven't read this yet, but hubby did and loved it!

Since receiving this I've read a couple of other Christopher Moore titles ( Fluke, The Stupidest Angel) and so far I think this is my favourite.
I have also got my hubby hooked and he has now read more of them than me.

HoserLauren is trading me this for Practical DemonKeeping ( For DH!)

Journal Entry 14 by HoserLauren from Burlington, Ontario Canada on Sunday, April 29, 2007
I received this from Sunny while I was out on vacation! Unfortunately, my part of the trade has been in transit for about 6-7 weeks now! Hopefully it arrives there soon.
I was told by someone, at some point, to read the Christopher Moore books in order. I've finished the first one, now on with the second!!
Thanks Sunny!

Sam Hunter (formally known as Samson Hunts Alone) has abandoned his Crow Indian roots after a run in with the law. He lives as a "white person" until his Crow roots catch up with him. Coyote, Sam's Indian God, appears one day and turns Sams life upside down. Coyote causes Sam to nearly lose his job and home, takes advantage of Sam's secretary, and helps Sam pursue a beautiful girl called Calliope. All of this brings Sam back to his roots. He ends up at home with his uncles trying to find a way to get Coyote back from where he came, and save Calliope.
In comparison to the last Christopher Moore book I read (Practical Demonkeeping), this book wasn't as good. I was expecting multiple story lines that all eventually found their way together in unexpected ways. This one had only two main story lines (Sam's and Pookey's). They were interesting, but definitely weird. The humour wasn't enough to get me through the weirdness of the book and although I finished it, it definitely isn't a top rated book for me.
