saving for release to the USO via Apolonia.
I remember a few years ago when I first started reading Faye Kellerman's books and after I'd finish one, I would go down to the bookstore to get the next one because I couldn't wait. For me they were very cool a) because I learned something about orthodox Judaism, and b) because they had good mysteries in them. But I'm not so sure about this one. It just didn't do it for me. I mean, the solution to one of the mysteries was unsatisfactory and done sort of as an afterthought; why have all the stuff in there about Rina's grandmother's murder if it wasn't going to be followed up; and much of the book just seemed a vehicle for examining race and religious issues.
I wish she'd get back to writing exciting stuff again! The book held my interest but I wasn't really satisfied.
