From the back cover:
Francisco Goya spent years learning his craft and became so good that he painted portraits of the king and queen of Spain and many nobles. But he also pictured daily life, bullfights, a terrible war that raged in Spain, and a fantastic world of his imagination.

I registered this book earlier today and spent my workday browsing through, reading about his life, his work, and looking at the paintings enclosed. Very good read, great artist! I absolutely love his painting Don Manuel Osorio Manrique De Zuniga, and am going to be buying a print of it very soon! It is pictured with this journal entry, by the way. What a fun painting it is.
