I read this book some time ago but do remember that it is one of the more clever books i have read its about Grenouille a street urchin with a unique talent, he is able to create the most beautiful perfumes. Unfortunately its not a tale that ends well.
Caught at the Belfast Meetup last night and started reading looks good! But the cover is different to the one shown here (its much nicer!).
A very weird, surreal fantasy of a novel, which I found hard to put down, utterly disgusting in places, but admittedly cleverly devised and extremely well written. I felt as if I was back in 18th century France. But what sort of a man was the writer? I'd be scared to meet him! To be released to a friend who had heard of it, and was intrigued by my experience of it.
